Dating Tips for Shy Guys

women are attracted to men who are full of confidence. So how can you overcome your shyness and find the one for you? It’s actually not as difficult as you may think.

Women tend to keep their distance from men who aren’t comfortable in their own skin. They prefer men who are confident in themselves and their abilities. So unless you know a quick way to generate confidence and overcome your shyness, you’ll have to fake confidence at first. I know that sounds counterproductive, but guess what? It’s what most guys do, because most guys aren’t actually full of confidence, despite the stereotype. And when you do approach her for the first time with your shoulders back and your head held high, she’ll be much more attracted to you because of it. If you don’t fake confidence, then she won’t be interested in you, and you’ll lose your opportunity to show her who you really are.

Faking confidence may take practice, and that’s just fine. When you’re out and about, make eye contact with women and smile every now and then. Maybe strike up a casual conversation. The more you practice, the more comfortable you’ll feel doing it.

As far as where to meet women, I recommend trying a club or a class. By joining a club you’re interested in, you’ll be giving yourself the opportunity to meet women who are interested in similar things as you. This is a great alternate to a bar, where the women you meet will only be interested in partying. Just remember that you aren’t joining this club/class specifically to meet women; don’t go in with the wrong mindset. You’re joining this club/class to learn more and make friends who share your interests. But it won’t hurt if one of those new friends you make is female, right?

I think one of the biggest problems for shy guys is that when they meet new women, they look at them as potential girlfriends instead of just friends. This causes them to become nervous and makes them more shy. When you meet a woman for the first time (or especially when you go on a date), don’t look at her as a potential girlfriend. Don’t imagine what you would look like together or how great she would be as your girlfriend. For now, you’re only friends. Keep the atmosphere that way. Relax, talk, and get to know one another. This way she will be more relaxed, too, and both of you will enjoy yourselves more.

When you go on an actual date, don’t pressure yourself too much. Remember that you’re only friends who are trying to have a good time and learn more about one another. Try to keep the conversation about her, too; she will appreciate a guy who listens to her instead of talking about himself incessantly. Continue faking confidence; she’ll probably be turned off by you if you’re slouching or looking down the entire time. Don’t be afraid to make eye contact. Body language is vital when it comes to dating. So vital, in fact, that it’s more important than the words coming out of your mouth. If you really want to overcome your shyness, you’ll have to use body language to attract women. Every guy has to, whether they realize it or not.

It’s okay if you’re shy. All is not lost, I promise. There is a woman out there for you. Actually, there are many women out there for you. You just have to man up and start looking.
