Why is it important to get over a broken heart before stepping into a new relationship?
It is important for so many reasons. You don’t want to turn off Mr Right because of what Mr Wrong had done, after all that just isn’t the right place to start a new relationship from. Coming into a new relationship from a place of pain and hurting will just take that energy into a new relationship and see you repeating the same pattern over and over again.
You want to start a new relationship from a healthy place that leads to the type of relationship of your dreams, not one that you settle for. Going into a relationship before you have healed from the last one will see the same type of relationship eventuate again, as that is the energy you will be attracting.
How Do You Get Over A Broken Heart?
Here are 5 steps to help you do things a little differently and help the healing process
Be Gentle With Yourself - be as compassionate with yourself as you would be with a friend. All too often we are much too hard on ourselves, and show our friends much more compassion then we show ourselves. It’s time to change how we view our relationship with ourselves. Tell yourself what you would tell a friend in the same situation. Write it Out - don’t phone or text him out of frustration or anger nothing is to be gained by that - journal it out instead. Your feelings are valid so acknowledge your hurt and then move through it, you are only hurting yourself move by living in the pain. Use your journal as an avenue to vent your feelings as if he were there. Write a letter to him but don’t send it, once a relationship is over it is over. Thank The Person For the Lessons you learned from the relationship - this may seem hard at first but see what you can learn from the relationship so that you don’t attract the same type of partner again. One thing that I have found has helped is to take the pages from the journal, honor the person for the lesson and then burn it. That way you have looked after yourself by venting by then you have let it go as well. Get Yourself Outside - getting into nature and sunshine is a sure fire way to lift your mood and outlook on life. So get up, clean yourself up and get yourself outside for a walk and enjoy feeling alive. Get Rid Of Mementos - Holding onto reminders of the past relationship will only serve as memories of a relationship that wasn’t right. Photos are a constant reminder so declutter and get rid of the energy out of your home and your life. Whatever you do don’t put them under your bed, energetically this is very negative when you are trying to welcome in new love into your life.Breakups are hard everyone understands that, but if it isn’t right, it just isn’t right. So don’t miss a wonderful opportunity to bring new love into your life. Even though it may seem to be the hardest thing possible energetically, thank the person for being in your life, honor the lessons they have taught you and let them go. This will be the quickest way to get over a broken heart and heal your heart ready for new love.
The bottom line: Holding on to a broken heart from the past will only serve to lower your vibration for new love and not allow new love to flow.
